Loren Acton is a physicist and former NASA astronaut. Born on March 1, 1936, he is known for his work in the field of space science and for his contributions to our understanding of solar phenomena. Acton flew on the Space Shuttle Columbia during the STS-51-F mission in July 1985, where he conducted experiments related to solar physics.
