The Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) is a facility located in Paducah, Kentucky, that was primarily used for the enrichment of uranium for use in nuclear fuel. The plant was established in the early 1950s as part of the United States' efforts to enhance its nuclear capabilities during the Cold War.
