Robert Frank Borkenstein (1912–2002) was a notable American scientist and researcher, best known for his contributions to the field of forensic science, particularly in the development of breath alcohol testing devices. Borkenstein invented the Breathalyzer, a device that measures blood alcohol content (BAC) from a breath sample.
