The Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is the first nuclear power facility in Bangladesh, located in the Pabna District, about 160 kilometers northwest of the capital, Dhaka. The plant is being constructed by the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission with assistance from Russia, which is providing both technological support and funding.
