The Santa Susana Depot, also known as the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL), is a former rocket engine testing and research site located in the hills above the San Fernando Valley in California, near the city of Simi Valley. It was established in the 1940s and operated by various aerospace companies, most notably NASA and the Rocketdyne division of North American Aviation, and later Rockwell and Boeing.
