The Statue of Liberty in Washington, D.C., is not to be confused with the more famous Statue of Liberty located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The D.C. version, which is a smaller replica, is located on the grounds of the National Park Service's National World War II Memorial, near the Reflecting Pool on the National Mall.
