 Causal past

The causal past is the time-reversed causal future. Relative to a specified component ${\mathcal{I}}^{+}$ of future null infinity, the black hole region is the complement of its causal past: $\mathcal{B}=\mathcal{M}\setminus J^{-}({\mathcal{I}}^{+})$.
