 Elliptic regularity

Elliptic regularity says that solutions of an elliptic equation gain derivatives wherever the coefficients and forcing are regular. For the Laplacian, local estimates typically control two derivatives of $u$ by $\Delta u$ together with a lower-order norm of $u$.
