 Exponentially shifted semigroup

If $U(t)$ has generator $A$, then $\hat{U}(t)=e^{-\omega t}U(t)$ has generator $A-\omega I$. This shift converts a growth bound $M{e}^{\omega t}$ into the uniform bound $M$.
