 Furstenberg correspondence principle

The Furstenberg correspondence principle turns a subset $S\subseteq \mathbb{Z}$ of positive upper Banach density into a shift-invariant probability system and a positive-measure cylinder $A$ such that recurrence times of $A$ produce differences of elements of $S$.
