 Geophysical density contrast

The absolute density difference between a subsurface body and the material it replaces, commonly in $\mathrm{kg}{\mathrm{m}}^{-3}$. It is the source term in local gravity inversion, unlike the dimensionless relative density contrast used in cosmology.
