 Hexamethylphosphoramide

Hexamethylphosphoramide has a strongly donating phosphoryl oxygen that coordinates lithium. It changes ion pairing and aggregate structures, often increasing the reactivity of anionic oxygen donors. It does not universally produce free monomeric anions.
