 Local unitary operation

An operation that applies a unitary operator to one party's subsystem and the identity to the other is a local unitary operation. Several separated parties may each apply a known unitary, resulting in a product of their local unitaries. Such operations preserve the squared Schmidt coefficients across the relevant bipartition.
