 Nematic liquid crystal

A nematic liquid crystal identifies the director $\mathbf{n}$ with $-\mathbf{n}$. Its rotational order is described by a symmetric traceless tensor such as $Q_{ij}=S(n_i{n}_j-{\delta }_{ij}/3)$.
