 Nondegenerate semiconductor

A carrier regime in which conduction electrons and valence holes are dilute enough to use Boltzmann approximations to Fermi-Dirac occupations. Typically $E_c-\mu \gg k_{B}T$ and $\mu -E_v\gg k_{B}T$ are required for both species.
