The log odds ratio for treatment relative to control is the difference of the two log odds:

lo g \frac{θ _{T} / ( 1 - θ _{T} )}{θ _{C} / ( 1 - θ _{C} )} = (α + β /2) - (α - β /2) = β .

Thus the treatment-to-control odds ratio is $e^{β}$ . Its direction refers to whatever event the binomial count records.
