 Residue field

The residue field at a maximal ideal $\mathfrak{m}$ is the quotient field $\kappa (\mathfrak{m})=R/\mathfrak{m}$. At a prime ideal $\mathfrak{p}$, the residue field is the fraction field of $R/\mathfrak{p}$.
