 Sea-ice crystal fabric

The sea-ice crystal fabric describes grain shapes and crystallographic orientations. Calm-water congelation ice tends to develop vertical columns with predominantly horizontal crystal c-axes, whereas accumulated frazil ice produces a granular texture with much less systematic orientation.
