 Single-field inflationary consistency assumptions

The leading relations $r=16{ϵ}_V$ and $n_s-1=-6{ϵ}_V+2{\eta }_V$ assume a canonical single slow-roll scalar, Einstein gravity and the usual vacuum initial fluctuations. More general inflation models need not obey these relations.
