 Torsion point of an elliptic curve

The $n$-torsion subgroup $E[n]$ is the kernel of multiplication by $n$. When the characteristic does not divide $n$, it is isomorphic over an algebraic closure to $(\mathbb{Z}/n\mathbb{Z}{)}^2$.
