 Transformed Eulerian mean

The transformed Eulerian mean combines the Eulerian-mean meridional circulation with an eddy-induced circulation. This moves eddy buoyancy transport out of the mean thermodynamic equation and gathers wave forcing into the divergence of an Eliassen–Palm flux.
