 Wenzel wetting

A fully penetrated rough-surface wetting model with $\cos {\theta }^{\ast }=r\cos \theta$, where $r$ is actual wetted solid area divided by projected area. Roughness amplifies the planar surface tendency: it lowers contact angle when $\theta <90^{\circ }$.
