= Bielecki norm method
{c}

On $C([a,b],X)$, an exponentially or polynomially weighted sup norm can make a Volterra integral operator contractive even when the ordinary sup norm does not. For integration from $1$ to $t$, the weight $t^{-c}$ gives contraction factor at most $Mb/(c+1)$ for an $M$-Lipschitz vector field.
