Central stellar temperature
= Central stellar temperature
{title2=$T_c=T(0)$}
= Central temperature
{synonym}
The <temperature> at a star's centre. In gas-pressure-supported <stellar homology>, the <stellar hydrostatic equation> and <ideal gas law> give $T_c\propto\mu GM/(\mathcal R R)$, with a coefficient set by the <dimensionless> density and pressure profiles. It controls the strongly temperature-dependent <stellar energy-generation rate>.
