The temperature at a star's centre. In gas-pressure-supported stellar homology, the stellar hydrostatic equation and ideal gas law give Tc∝μGM/(RR), with a coefficient set by the dimensionless density and pressure profiles. It controls the strongly temperature-dependent stellar energy-generation rate.
