For contingent claim payoff (ST−K)+2 in the non-dividend Black-Scholes model, differentiating the discounted expected value gives Δ=2e−rτS−1E[(ST2−KST)1{ST≥K}]. Completing the square in the Gaussian exponent computes each truncated lognormal moment and yields the displayed formula, where d1=(log(S/K)+(r+σ2/2)τ)/(στ). Its terminal limit is 2(S−K)+.
