Exoplanet transit photometry
= Exoplanet transit photometry
Exoplanet transit photometry measures the stellar flux decrement as an <exoplanet> crosses the visible stellar disc. After accounting for stellar intensity variation and transit geometry, its depth is approximately $(R_p/R_\star)^2$, determining a radius ratio rather than an absolute planetary radius.
