For a free module F=⨁i∈JAei, the natural map U⊗AF→⨁i∈JU sends u⊗∑iaiei to (aiu)i and is an isomorphism, with inverse sending the tuple (ui) to ∑iui⊗ei. For any injection U↪V, its tensor product of modules with F is therefore the coordinatewise injection ⨁JU↪⨁JV. Thus every free module is flat, including those of infinite rank.
