= Fundamental weights of Dn
{title2=$\omega_1,\ldots,\omega_n$}
With <simple roots> $\alpha_i=\varepsilon_i-\varepsilon_{i+1}$ for $i<n$ and $\alpha_n=\varepsilon_{n-1}+\varepsilon_n$, the <fundamental weights> are $\omega_i=\varepsilon_1+\cdots+\varepsilon_i$ for $i\leq n-2$, followed by $\omega_{n-1}=(\varepsilon_1+\cdots+\varepsilon_{n-1}-\varepsilon_n)/2$ and $\omega_n=(\varepsilon_1+\cdots+\varepsilon_n)/2$. All roots have squared length two, so their pairings with <coroots> verify the dual-basis identities. The last two weights are the half-spin highest weights; for $n=2$, the defining highest weight is $\omega_1+\omega_2$.
