Hall voltage
= Hall voltage
{c}
{title2=$V_H$}
A transverse <Hall voltage> develops when a longitudinal current flows through a sample in a perpendicular <magnetic field>. With $R_H=E_y/(j_xB_z)$, a uniform slab of thickness $t$ along the magnetic field has a signed transverse voltage magnitude set by $R_HIB_z/t$, with the final sign determined by the chosen voltage leads.
