Hall voltage ($V_H$)

A transverse Hall voltage develops when a longitudinal current flows through a sample in a perpendicular magnetic field. With $R_H=E_y/(j_x{B}_z)$, a uniform slab of thickness $t$ along the magnetic field has a signed transverse voltage magnitude set by $R_{H}I{B}_z/t$, with the final sign determined by the chosen voltage leads.
