The <Heisenberg model> couples neighboring or more general pairs of <spins> through $\boldsymbol\sigma_i\mathbin{\cdot}\boldsymbol\sigma_j$. For all-to-all equal coupling, the <Hamiltonian> can be written in terms of the square of the <total spin>.
