= Ideal-theoretic decomposition law
For an unramified prime $\mathfrak p$ in a finite abelian extension $L/K$, the residue degree equals the order of its <Artin symbol>. Consequently the number of primes above $\mathfrak p$ is $[L:K]$ divided by that order.
