For a set π of prime numbers, the integer localization
Aπ=Z[q−1:q∈π]⊆Q
(1)
consists of fractions whose denominator has prime factors only in π. As an additive group it is divisible by every prime in π.

Integer localization at a set of primes
If A¬p=Z[q−1:q=p], its finite quotients are exactly the cyclic p-groups Z/pnZ. Divisibility by every q=p excludes other prime torsion, while a quotient of exponent pn factors through A¬p/pnA¬p≅Z/pnZ.
