Negative differential resistance
= Negative differential resistance
{title2=$dV/dI<0$}
A local negative slope $dV/dI<0$ of a <current-voltage characteristic>, where the inverse slope exists. This differs from negative $V/I$: a <tunnel diode> can have positive <electric potential difference> and positive <electric current> while $dV/dI<0$.
