Neutralization (source code)

= Neutralization
{wiki=Neutralization_(chemistry)}

A <neutralization> is a <chemical reaction> between a <chemical acid> and a <chemical base>. In the <buffer solution> example, <hydroxide> takes a <proton> from the <weak acid> to form <water> and the <conjugate base>. The <stoichiometry> updates the partner inventories before the approximate <chemical equilibrium> calculation. The name does not require the resulting <pH> to be $7$.
