b
For a nonradial null geodesic,
V(r)=L2(r21−r32m−H2).
(1)
It tends to −∞ as r→0+, rises to one maximum, and tends to −L2H2 as r→∞. A circular null geodesic requires V′(r)=0, so
−r32+r46m=0⟹r=3m.
(2)
Since V′′(3m)<0, this photon sphere is unstable. Its energy satisfies E2=L2(1/(27m2)−H2).
