A second-rank tensor is antisymmetric when
Tij=−Tji.
(1)
Under an orthogonal Cartesian coordinate change with matrix R,
Tij′=RikRjℓTkℓ.
(2)
Therefore
Tji′=RjkRiℓTkℓ=−RjkRiℓTℓk=−Tij′,
(3)
after relabelling the dummy indices. Hence the antisymmetric second-rank tensor property is independent of Cartesian coordinates.
