b
By point transitivity, it suffices to take P=i. The condition
ci+dai+b=i
(1)
is equivalent to d=a, c=−b, and the determinant condition becomes a2+b2=1. Thus the stabilizer consists of
(a−bba),a2+b2=1,
(2)
modulo ±I. Writing a=cosφ, b=sinφ identifies it with rotations of the tangent plane, and the doubled matrix angle removes the ±I quotient. Hence
StabG(P)≅SO(2).
