Every word in Cn(r) has probability at least 2−nr, so normalization gives ∣Cn(r)∣≤2nr. Choose H(U)<r<R and then ε<r−H(U). Every ε-typical word satisfies p(un)≥2−n(H(U)+ε)≥2−nr, hence Tε(n)⊆Cn(r) and Pr[Cn(r)]→1. Injectively encoding Cn(r) and using a default codeword outside it gives rate at most R and vanishing error.
