6A
The parameter sensitivity equation follows by differentiating with respect to μ and writing u=yμ:
ux=u+x+y2+2μyu,u(0,μ)=0.
(1)
At μ=0, yx=y, y(0)=1, so y(x,0)=ex. Then
ux−u=x+e2x,u(0,0)=0,
(2)
and the integrating factor e−x yields
u(x,0)=e2x−x−1.
(3)
Equating powers in y=y0+μy1+μ2y2+⋯ gives
y0=ex,y1=e2x−x−1,
(4)
y2′−y2=2y0y1,y2(0)=0.
(5)
Consequently
y2=ex(e2x−1−x2−2x).
