Let V=C4. The Special linear Lie algebra sl(V) acts on Λ2V. The wedge product
Λ2V×Λ2V⟶Λ4V≅C
(1)
is a nondegenerate symmetric bilinear form, and the action preserves it because sl(V) acts trivially on Λ4V. This gives an injective homomorphism
sl4⟶so(Λ2V)≅so6.
(2)
Both Lie algebras have dimension 15, so the map is an isomorphism. This realizes the Isomorphism between so6 and sl4.
