The product of reflections in two lines meeting at angle θ is a rotation through 2θ. Here Q=−R∣Ω⟩Rg rotates toward the good axis by 2θ. Since ∣Ω⟩ initially makes angle θ with the bad axis,
Qk∣Ω⟩=sin((2k+1)θ)∣ψg⟩+cos((2k+1)θ)∣ψb⟩.
(1)
A single use replaces the angle θ by 3θ.
