d
False. Give C[X,Y] its C[T]-algebra structure by
T⟼X+Y,
(1)
and use the quotient maps
C[X,Y]⟶C[X],Y⟼0,C[X,Y]⟶C[Y],X⟼0.
(2)
The induced maps send T to X and Y, respectively, so both polynomial rings are free of rank one, hence flat modules, over C[T].
Their tensor product over the middle ring is
C[X]⊗C[X,Y]C[Y]≅C[X,Y]/(X,Y)≅C.
(3)
Here T acts by zero, so this is the torsion module C[T]/(T). It is not flat: tensoring the injection C[T]TC[T] with it produces the zero map on a nonzero module.
