The inverse Fourier transform is linear:
Φ(x)=∫p2<Λ2(2π)dddpeipxΦ(p).
(1)
Splitting the integration domain into p2<b2Λ2 and b2Λ2<p2<Λ2, then inserting the definitions of ϕ and χ, gives
Φ(x)=∫p2<b2Λ2(2π)dddpeipxϕ(p)+∫b2Λ2<p2<Λ2(2π)dddpeipxχ(p)=ϕ(x)+χ(x).
