Differentiate the map:
g′(x)=r+ke−λx(1−λx).
(1)
At the positive equilibrium, ke−λx∗=1−r, so
g′(x∗)=1−(1−r)λx∗=1−(1−r)log(1−rk).
(2)
The fixed point stability for an iteration requires ∣g′(x∗)∣<1. Existence already makes the logarithm positive, so the upper inequality is automatic. The lower inequality gives
(1−r)log(1−rk)<2.
(3)
Combining it with existence yields the stability interval of the survival-augmented Ricker equilibrium:
1−r<k<(1−r)exp(1−r2).
