After Wick rotation, the zero-momentum bubble integral with cutoff regularization is
I(0)=∫∣k∣<Λ(2π)4d4k(k2+m2)21=16π21[logm2Λ2+m2+Λ2+m2m2−1].
(1)
The three channels contribute 3λ2I(0)/2. For Λ≫m, this is 32π23λ2[log(Λ2/m2)−1], so the zero-momentum renormalization condition is enforced by
δλ=−32π23λ2logem2Λ2,
(2)
and hence F=em2. Keeping the exact cutoff expression merely replaces F by the finite cutoff-dependent quantity defined by log(Λ2/F)=16π2I(0).
