Put d=6−ϵ. The one-loop two-point bubble has symmetry factor 1/2 and, after a Feynman parameter and momentum shift, its pole is proportional to
−(4π)3ϵ2∫01dx[m2+x(1−x)pE2]=−(4π)3ϵ2(m2+6pE2).
(1)
Cancelling the pole in the minimal subtraction scheme gives, with ϵ=6−d,
δZ=−6(4π)3ϵλ2,δm2=−(4π)3ϵλ2m2.
(2)
If one defines dimensional regularization by d=6−2ϵ, these same poles are written with 2ϵ in place of ϵ.
