\b[True.] Since $a_n^n\to2$, there is $N_0$ such that $1<a_n^n<3$ for $n\geq N_0$. Positivity then gives $a_n>1$ on this tail.

Fix $\varepsilon>0$. If $a_n\geq1+\varepsilon$, <Bernoulli's inequality> gives
$$
a_n^n\geq(1+\varepsilon)^n\geq1+n\varepsilon.
$$
For $n>2/\varepsilon$, this contradicts $a_n^n<3$. Therefore eventually $1<a_n<1+\varepsilon$, proving
$$
\boxed{a_n\longrightarrow1.}
