Use <natural units> $\hbar=c=1$ and the mostly-minus <Minkowski metric>. Question 3 has two spatial dimensions: its <gamma matrices> are the specified two-by-two matrices. The printed $\sigma^\mu$ in its <kinetic term> is interpreted as those $\gamma^\mu$, rather than as three unmodified <Pauli matrices>. All <spin sums> in question 2 instead use four-component <Dirac spinors> in four spacetime dimensions.
